Shylaja joined the firm in 2015 shortly before her admission. She holds a degree in Law from Queensland University of Technology.

Shylaja advises on shopping centre matters, including retail lease negotiations, lease enforcement and shopping centre administration issues.

She is also experienced in residential and commercial conveyancing transactions, including rural properties involving water rights, where she regularly assists clients in overcoming a myriad of issues and obstacles to settlement.

Shylaja has also been involved in advising on a wide array of other matters, extending to:

  • Body corporate matters, including advising on community management statement issues and body corporate disputes;
  • Property law matters including, town planning issues concerning infrastructure credits and watercourses, and resumption objections;
  • Loan and security documentation; and
  • Will drafting, applications for probate and letters of administration, and estate administration.

Shylaja is a workaholic but also loves “F45” challenges and long walks that are well rewarded by the promise of the odd slice of cake.
